I have a 6-8 month old kitty, and come the 17th, I get another, who is a baby. Will this work.... Here i had worked for a vet clinic- 15 yrs ago- and I am asking the stupid questions! Skye
Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on the persobalities of the cats involved and how they are introduced to each other. They might be just fine, or they might hate each other on the spot and need to get used to each other. If you introduce them slowly and aren't threatening or angry toward either of them, and make sure to give your first cat extra attention, you should be good.

I would NEVER be angry to a pet! I had to ask since I have not had kitties for 15 yrs! I was a vet tech, but I had to quit having my first baby. My baby, who is 15 now, was allowed to have one, and I am kinda rusty on it! I will be careful on this... She is reserved for us. We have looked for a long time, so I am hoping it all goes well! Skye.
Oh, no, I didn't mean it like that! Just sometimes when we yell (for instance to separate two newly-introduced animals whom are fighting), they might mistake that for anger. Just take your time and do it gradually. If they are pretty good-natured -and especially if you already have other pets for the first cat to be used to- you should be good.

Yes, my kitty is very good natured, and she loves water! Depending on the new kitty and her attitude, I think things will be fine, or at least I hope so! We'll soon see... she can leave Momma tomorrow! Skye.
At first, things were a bit rocky, but now, they are the best of friends! They sleep together and the older kitty cries for her "baby" sister! Worked out well!
