Your cat likely has eye infections.. often called conjuctivitits.

Go to the vet, get the cat seena nd you will likely get a perscription for treatment. Doeses usually take 7 to 10 days to complete.

Meanwhile carefully wash the eyes with warm soapy water (a different cloth for each eye) and pat dry (with a seperate cloth for each eye).

Wash the cloths immediately in bleach water so no contamination of other people/animals. And wash your hands thoroughly with soap for 2 minutes.

Welcome to Answerpool. Smile

Your kitten has an infection or eye irritation. Take your kitten to a vet to get him looked at. Many vet offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. In the meantime, take 2 warm washcloths and lightly wipe your kitties eyes to get rid of some of the gooey stuff. Do NOT put soap on the washcloth. Use ONLY plain water. Make sure to use a different cloth for each eye. This should help alleviate some of the discomfort until you can take him to the vet.

Chlamydophila is the technical term for this...and is also referred to as the cat flu. You should take him to the vet and they will put the kitten on an antibiotic and likely give you some type of ointment for the eyes. Definitely don't use soap to wash the cats eyes. Use either just barely warm plain water or water with a little salt in it - and just compress over the eyes.

Also make sure you provide lots of fresh water for the kitten because they often can get dehydrated when they have the kitty flu, just like people do.
