You can potty train cats, but it is unlikely you can teach them to flush, so that may not be the best bet unless you get a motion sensor flusher or something. You might want to just close the toilet seat, though. We had a cat who was infatuated with water -vases, sinks, the shower, glasses, anything. We couldn't leave water out anywhere. It turned out she had advanced kidney disease. But we got her a cat fountain and ran Pedialite and water through it and she was less interested in other water after she had neat water of her own. After her first check-up if the vet tells you all is well, you might want to get her a fountain and see if that helps. No Pedialite, though, if she's healthy.

Skye....a cousin of mine had a cat that used the toilet...they placed the litter box closer and closer to the toilet and then purchased a litter box that fit on the toilet like a training seat...then that was removed and the cat went potty there...He did not flush though....but here is a cute you tube clip of a cat who flushes. We had a dog that did that.. we put a cat cover on the box and it prevented the dog from REACHING the "morsels" That dog was 150 pound German Shepherd/Lab mix. Our 2 current dogs are Schipperkes and are 18 and 28 pounds.. it would not work for them.
