I want some recommendations for a good clumping litter... it is a bigger issue now that I have 2 kittens instead of one grown-up.
I'm not thrilled with Arm & Hammer, the clumps fall apart when I clean the box. Any advice?

In my humble opinion, I don’t think you will find a brand that does not crumble some. We have had 5 cats in the past, then down to 3...now were back up to 5 again. I and the cats as well like the brand “littermaid”. Its made from corn husks instead of clay. What I really like about it is that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Cleans off the scoop well under running water, and the tracked loose bits in the carpet, come up easily with the vacuum and yet stays clumped fairly well.

The only 2 things you might not like about it is the price per bag and that the only places you might find it on the shelf is at any of the pet supermart places. The cats go through it the same rate as any of the other clumping brands. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with the product.

Yeah, I know there'll always be some degree of "fall apart factor" but the level I'm getting withthe A&H is major, I'm not seeking perfection, just something closer to it until I can afford one of those spiffy self cleaning boxes.

I use Scoop Away brand cat litter for my cat, Isabel. It's available at all grocery stores, has a nice scent, and works really well with clumping. We like it!

My 2 cats use Tidy Cats for multiple cats. I think it forms even more solid clumps than Scoop Away but that's just my opinion.

When I had two cats I also had the best luck with Tidy Cat Multiple Cat formula. I also like the Fresh Step clumping - it seems to have less dust.

Tidy Cats worked the best for me, too. Don't always buy the cheapest litter - you'll regret it.
