On the evening news they reported that Hartz Flea Drops have been linked to many deaths and near fatal problems in cats, it causes liver toxicity and cam kill, paralyse or make kitty very sick. If your cat is an outdoor cat please go to your vet for a vet recommended flea drop or pill prescribed for your cats size and age. Thank you!

I haven't heard great things about Hartz products in general. I have a pair of love birds. My female was malnourished (not starving, lack of proper nutrients) from feeding Hartz or anything under a different name made by Hartz. I had to take the bird to an expensive bird specialist. They told me to avoid all of their products. I wouldn't recommend any of their products for all animals. They aren't of very good quality.

That's terrible and to top it off when Hartz was notified of all the problems they made a public statement that if used properly the product is safe, tell that to the 30 some deaths linked to the product.

I am guessing that 30 deaths is a low figure. They make foods and products for all kinds of small animals and fish. Most people probably think small animals got sick and died without knowing why. My bird has permanent damage to the abdominal muscles and never really did make a full recovery after feeding her the Hartz food. She is doing a lot better with vitamins and a change of food.
