12 weeks old she is in the "weening" stage - meaning the cross over from mom's milk to kitten food.
That change will produce a lot of gas.
you can try switching kitten foods. Another alternative is to de-gas the kitten food my mixing 1:1 ration of dry kitten food with canned kitten food. If you are using a whole can mix in 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger - you should have that in your spice cabinet.
Ginger will help degas the kitty.
This also works well with human foods, such as lentils, chili, etc.
If the problem persists, say 3 weeks to a month, take the kitten to the vet it may be a food allergy or an intolerance to one of the ingredients.
However kittens do fart - a lot, stinky ones at that. The grow out of it on their own.
