One week ago I slipped on some ice a glass bottle shattered in my hand. I didn't go to the doctor. Although the bleeding was heavy, we were able to stop the bleeding. It has now been one week and while most of the cuts are healing nicely and no longer hurt, there is one cut that still hurts a lot! I can hardly put any pressure on it at all and it hurts underneath the skin. There has been some swelling in that area as well. Do you think that I might have some glass in my hand? Does this sound normal? Will glass show up on an x-ray? Even a small sliver of glass?

Hello. It is very possible that you still have a small piece of glass in your hand. I would doubt it would show up on an x-ray at all. Tho, they may be able to use a floral light and look at it to see. You should have it checked out tho, I know sometime they work theirselves out on their own eventually. Sam
