My mom is currently on Coumadin for atrial fibrilation and Mitral Valve Regurgitation. She is having a TEE done on Wednesday. They said she should be off the coumadin for three days. I was concerned and had her call her cardiologist who said he would give her Lovenox for the three days instead. My concern is that even with the Lovenox her protime needs to be tested before the TEE procedure to make sure the INR is below 3. No one seems to be on top of those details. Any suggestions?
