Lately, more than usual, I've been feeling kind of nauseated. This has happened in the past some, but I've found that some things set it off more than others, and it comes and goes. Alcohol seems to be a main source. I can't drink as much as I used to, which wasn't much in the first place, but now it just doesn't feel right. Also, usually the day after I drink, I feel bad again. Also, I have NO appetite what-so-ever when it hits. I can't eat or drink. This happened for a whole week a couple of weeks ago, and a few times since, including New Year's day. It's not just intolerable, but it still bothers me. I get pretty irritable when it happens too. I can't even kiss my boyfriend when it's bothering me, just the feeling of anything even touching my lips makes me even more nauseated. I don't know what's wrong! The only two things I can think of that might have bothered my stomach was either #1. I used to take advil/ibuprofen almost EVERY day, sometimes twice a day. #2. The time it happened for a week was after I drank too much one night and had a REALLY bad hangover the next day and was sick, but why would that effect me for a week? I don't drink often at all either. #3. Could birth control have anything to do with it? ANY ideas would help greatly! I know it all kind of sounds confusing, but I'm COMPLETELY confused on what's going on with me.
Is your weight being affected? Do you feel anything else along WITH the nausea? Pain in the stomach or lower? Is it cyclical? (I ask that last because I feel serious nausea several days before every period) Are you having weakness?
Why don't you start a journal. Write down each and everytime it happens. Include the date, time, what you were doing, what you were just eating, the time of the month on your mentruation cycle (count the days between periods and record which day the nausea occurs on). Write anything down you expect to be doing, or have just been doing.
One of the best ways to determine what is wrong is to narrow down what is and isn't occurring when the nausea happens. Do this for a month or two, then go to see your physician with your findings.
I am sorry I can't be more specifically helpful, so the best thing I can do is find a way for you to help yourself.

there are lots of possibilites, including gastritis, hepatitis, mono, gallbladder problems, etc, etc....there's no way to get a reliable answer without taking the plunge and seeing your doctor. Waiting a month or two to keep a journal seems a bit long to me.
