Had my annual medical except for bloodwork yesterday and as usual I'm disgustingly healthy except that I am developing cataracts.

I had noticed a degradation in my vision but thought it was just growing more near-sighted, as everyone does.

So I went on the net and found this site:

Of course I'll check with my doctor before I try such a remedy, but I was hoping some of you guys have had some experience with it. Or know of someone who has.

I'm not that worried. I'm not a candidate for surgery yet. I'm going to use anti-oxidant vitamins -- A, D, E, and also selenium as a matter of course from now on.

My mother had them and put off surgery for years because she couldn't bear to think of someone cutting her eye. Finally had it, then really regretted she had not had it done sooner.

My opthalmologist told me last month that mine are still not ready to be done. Not ripe enough yet? But my wife had hers done two years ago. At first there was a big improvement but she says they have gradually gone right back to what they were. Vision is no better nor worse than before. On the other hand, we do take all of the vitamins and supplements she can think of. It can't hurt!
