I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer on 10/31/99. My treatments ended on 8/30/00. Often people how long I have been a cancer survivor, from which date to I count?

Hi Sandy Let me first start by saying God Bless you! I will keep you in my prayers... Cancer is a terriable illness I have seen a lot of it in my family and my mother died from it when I was only 19, As for your question, you say you were diagnosed with cancer in 1999 right? If so I'm saying you are a cancer survivor from the date you were diagnosed seeing as you have been surviving every day since. Good Luck Sandy! Beth
