I am not sure what you are describing. Occassionally when my potassium levels are low, my eye muscles and other muscles twitch, so I eat bananas and other K+ rich foods.

I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of years ago. First my eye would start to twitch at work toward the end of my shift- I bartend nights. Then over the next six weeks it got so it was twitching 24-7, but sometimes the lid would freeze on the down side of the twitch so I looked like I was winking at my customers. It was very distressing. Well, my uncle had just died from eye cancer so I was convinced I had the same thing. I called the eye doctor to make an appointment and when I described the symptoms the nurse asked me if I drank a lot of coffee. Now, to my standards, no I didn't, but to the average Joe, it might have seemed like a lot- 2 to 3 pots a day. Well, she kind of chocked a little, then said that caffeine can sometimes cause twitching, etc. I cut WAY down on my coffee, none for a week, and by the middle of the second week the twitch was gone. I now watch my caffeine intake very carefully, one or 2 CUPS a day. It's just a thought, you still should go to the doctor.
