But wouldn't her organs have already been damaged by anti-rejection drugs?
Or by trauma due to the complications from the botched transplant?

The organs that could have been donated were her eyes, most of the rest were too damaged to donate. There have been some reports that the parents not donating them was due to a language barrier.

What a waste.
