Can anyone tell me a little more about this, such as can you go into this from not taking your thyroid meds? How dangerous is this?

Samantha - the following URL talks about Graves Disease, but it focuses on Thyroid Storm...causes and symptoms. One of the things it does mention is that it can be caused by abrupt withdrawal of the meds. As far as questioning whether it is dangerous or not - it does say that it can be life threatening!!

I try to take my
Synthyroid every day;
if I don't after a short while I have
zero energy. I have an
underactive thyroid which you may have.
But you might have the reverse----overactive.
I'm not sure what the
reaction would be in this case.
