hello.. i'm 19 years old and recently i have felt a lump not larger than 2 times of a pea above my left testicle.. it is not attached to the testice itself but seems connected..i have read from other forums that some other people have similar experiences.. it is rather painless and doesnt cause discomfort... i know it cant possibly be cancer as i do not have any of the symptoms such as back ache and aching pain within the scrotum.. i m wondering if it is a cyst? i even read once that a lump can form from heavy lifting.. i m a frequent ''gym-goer'' and quite active in sports.. but i find this rather absurd.. anyways.. i'm just tryin to list details down... can anyone possibly enlighten me on this..

While this is almost certainly a harmless cyst or perhaps a blocked gland, you should take this question and your testicles to a physician and find out for sure- if there is a problem, best to deal with it swiftly than to "wait and see"

Speaking as one guy to another, get to a doctor. If it's nothing, then the sooner you know it's nothing, the better. If, however, it is something, then the sooner you deal with it the better.

Of course you need to get a doctor's opinion, as advised. I did when I had the same question, for the same reason, when I was your age, Got it from playing basketball. I'm now 85 and, so far, no ill effects. Seems that's how those things are made.Good luck!
