I'm not a doctor, I don't play one on TV and I didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. You may do well to see a specialist ,a rheumatologist. I saw one for my ankles.. after eliminating diagnosis of gout, and lime disease. The Dr perscribed several different anti-inflamatories.. Some blood work testing may be appropriate if you've not had any.. a sedimentation rate is a basic indicator of internal inflamation and fairly inexpesive (not very diagnostic)
Basically starting with the traditional take two asprin and call in the morning. A fairly potent antiinflamatory worked for me by the name of indomethicin.. Others in my family have had similar complaints but not similar results.. It's pretty much an individual thing that you and your doctor will need to work out. Good luck.
