I know certian types of birth controls have their preventative effects negated by taking antibotics. Is depo one of these?

This is definitely something you should ask your doctor. I know that antibiotics can interfere with the pill, for sure. You have to be careful and talk with your doctor when combining any medications because one might counteract the other.
