Aug. 06 broke a bone in knee. March 06 first operation to remove piece broken. Drilled and punched holes to repair(doc's words) Aug. 06 second operation. Remove rough edges. Knee pops like it has square knee cap. Hurts when walk or stand. 3-4 on 1--10 scale with occasional 7-8. Feels like a nerve deep in knee.Pops at about 3/4 of full bend and that hurts some more than other times. Had 1 shot of cortisone month ago. Not as bad at night now with aching. Today Doc. told me he wants to start series of 5 shots of Hyalgan. Thanks for any opinions or questions.

Therapist had me keep foot straight up and bend knee while laying on back. As I straightened it out it was much louder pop and little more painful. Next she pushed knee-cap medially(to left); when I straightened it out the pop was very loud and very painful.The bone that broke out in Aug. 06' was under knee-cap. This is where I have pain now .

I have no background or experience in these matters but if you are questioning the regimen your doctor would like to place you on, or your physical therapy, you ought to get a second opinion from a real live medical professional who can examine you and your records in person.

This is the second opinion (doctor) The first told me to wear a brace rest of days or until could not walk on it. Then partial or full replacement.Thanks. Guess I am looking for a miracle answer.
