Hi all, just letting you all know I'm having my esophagus dilated Monday the 17th, this is the 5th time I've had to have this done. Its annoying, but needs to be done. If I dont get it done, it gets much harder to swallow food that isnt practically liquid. I have a stricture in my esophagus near the top of my stomach, and it occasionally grows almost shut, causing me to have to have this surgery to get it opened up again. This stricture is hard tissue inside the esophagus that will not give or expand, making the esophagus work hard to push food thru. It also hurts like hell, LOL. The last couple times went really well and easy, so wish me luck again!
