You would probably have to be a pharmacist to answer this, but I'm gonna give it a try. Do anyone know what kind of a pill that's peach in color, and has the numbers T35 on it? This pill was given as a generic for 5 mil of coumadin. The reason it's questioned is because the patient protime level was low after taking it, and she had to increase the dosage. She also didn't feel good. She took the pills back to another chain of the drugstore and questioned the pharmacist to see if they were the right pills. He said yes, but he immediately got rid of them and gave her another kind that had the # 5 on them and was peach in color, even though it was a generic. Is it true that all coumadin, or it's generic should have the mil # on them? I searched the internet on meds, but didn't find any meds with T35 on it. Please, any info will be appreciated.

Honiluv, I am not sure what the pharmacist did.. but he may have been over-stepping his bounds based on exactly what the doctor wrote on his prescription.

At any rate, generic meds and Brand Names are identical. The only thing that varies is appearance and price. Perhaps Dr Sid or another nurse can give you more information than I was able to.

a peach-colored pill with T35 on it is in fact a generic form of coumadin, 5 mg. It's capsule-shaped, not round, right? There's a calcium pill with T35 on it, but it also says "lilly" on it. And, no, pills don't necessarily have the dose on them; nor would it be true that the pharmacist overstepped his bounds in providing a generic instead of "coumadin" unless the prescription as written specified brand name only.

Thanks so much for giving me peace of mind. The pharmacist did tell me the truth. He also told me that the other store's brand was different from his, because it was made by a different company, and that could make a difference in my protime level, because I was adjusted to the ones from his Pharmacy.
