Katanya,
Sounds like "overactive bladder." Two of the determining factors are:
1) Having to "go" more than 8 times in 24 hours
2) Getting up more than once at night to go
There are several treatments that can help including:
1) Medications like Detrol or Ditropan
2) Bladder retraining
Here is a site that has some info:
Overactive Bladder.
You might consider seeing a urogynecologist. That's a relatively new specialty for female urinary problems. (Sometimes a gynecologist will have a sub-specialty in urogynecology.)
Physical rehabilitation therapists may also be able to help. In some states you can go directly to the therapist without a doctor's referral, but insurance companies vary, so you might want to check that out.
By the way, it seems to be a common problem. If it weren't, Detrol wouldn't be spending millions of dollars advertising on TV. So don't feel like you're alone with this.
Hope this is helpful,
Teresa
