I'm 14 years old and lately I have been experiencing strange symptoms. The other day I was playing soccer outside when suddenly I started to feel lightheaded, breathed heavily, lungs and chest hurt when I breathed in and I could taste blood at the back of my throat. I immeadiatley sat down and ate something, I started to feel better after about an hour. I also experienced the same and some other symptoms in August of this year. I would feel lightheaded, easily stay in a trance, see black dots, feel like vomiting, I fainted once(hearing was gone, blacked out but then it went away after I fell), frequent yawning, weakness(I would have to speak softly), cold sweats, fevers, and dizziness would disappear a little after sitting down(its worse while standing). Usually after I eat anything I would feel a lot better. I get these symptoms often in the morning before or after eating breakfast or running outside(eating before or after). Also, my symptoms are worst while I am on my period. I do not understand why I am experiencing this and I would like to know of the possible cause or of a way to get rid of these symptoms. Any advice or information that you would know about this would be great.
Thanks!

Something to throw out here - ask your doctor to test for anemia and do blood sugar level testings on you.

Just listening to your symptoms and how they usually go away after eating I immediately think you might have low blood sugar levels - easy enough to check - and easy enough to treat.

From emedicinehealth.com:

Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia)
Low Blood Sugar Symptoms

Because epinephrine, one of the hormones that is activated by low blood sugar, comes from the central nervous system, the majority of early symptoms of low blood sugar are related to the nervous system.

Common symptoms of low blood sugar include the following:

Trembling, Clamminess, Palpitations, Anxiety, Sweating, Hunger

Because the brain is deprived of glucose, a second set of symptoms follows:
Difficulty in thinking, Confusion, Headache..and a few others that you don't need to worry yourself about right now Wink

Your thyroid gland may be a little out of whack, something which would be readily treatable. Rely on your doctor, and use common sense, as you have been.
