What could it be if you have a lump on your private members down there (male parts), about the size of a peanut, maybe a little larger. And also, there's a symptom of having blood in the bowel movements a few times. I read this in a magazine and it never said what it could be.

You'd have to be a little more specific about the lump: is it on the penis, or scrotum? If the scrotum, is it in the skin (probably a sebaceous cyst (plugged oil gland)). If inside the scrotum, it could be a number of things depending on location. In any case, the only sure way to find out is by an actual exam. If you give a little more detail, I could narrow it down for you. As to blood in the bowels, again more info is needed, especially your age. If it's red blood the most common thing is hemorrhoids but that also depends on much more info; it could also be a form of colitis (inflammation), a fissure (tear in the lining) or a tumor -- either a polyp or cancer. So in general it's best to see your doctor to be sure. If you are young, it's not likely to be serious; but it should be checked

well, seeing as I'm a girl, I'm not exactly sure what the SCROTUM is, *L* Sorry, maybe i'm just stupid. But it's on a testicle...That's about all I know, but it COULD be a cyst right? What're the chances of the blood AND the bump happening aorund the same time?

It's almost certain the blood and the lump are not related. If by "on a testicle" you mean it's inside the sac, and attached to the testicle, it could be several things: a spermatocele (a cyst like thing), a hydrocele (another cyst-like thing), it could be the epididymus (where sperm mature), or it could still be a tumor. I repeat that the best thing to do is see your doctor. For both issues. Maybe he'll have a better sense of humor.

Some of those things don't need any treatment at all; it's a matter of learning which it is.
