Kitty, I don't think that any answer you get here would be accurate in any way. There is so much more a doctor will discuss with you before offering any kind of answer. I'd suggest you see your doctor and see if he/she recommends that you visit a neurologist.
I get this too Kitty sometimes and I know mine is my weight and my low blood pressure causing circulation problems to me. Make sure you do talk to your doctor it could be any number of things...

I agree that you should visit your general practitioner and mention these problems. "Pins and needles" sensations is often times nerve-related...and minor neuropathies are more prevalent in the general population than is realized. Who among us has never felt that sensation? But some nerves regenerate and heal and the problem goes away with time.
If the symptoms continue and/or worsen you are going to want to schedule an appt with a neurologist. It could be nothing more than nerve compression from the way you are sitting or laying....to over-working a nerve from repetitive actions. Or it could be something far more serious. Only a neurologist will be able to tell you for sure.
