Alrighty, every site I go to that defines Patellar tendinitis (which I was diagnosed as having today) says that it is gotten from repeated jumping.

When I had the meniscus removed in 2000 that ended my sports career - since then I have not jumped, jogged, or practiced other high impact sports (No football, no soccer, No baseball )

So if I am not jumping how can I have jumper's disease????

Patellar tendinitis can also be caused by improper biomechanics of the quadriceps muscle or foot and lower leg.

Other contributing factors are:

Improper biomechanics- Excessive foot motions and structural conditions of the foot.

Equipment- improper footwear being worn for both their sports as well as their feet.

Muscular Strength and Flexibility- muscle weakness or imbalance, and/or poor flexibility.

Training- Excessive training or increases of volume and intensity to quickly.

Improper foot wear? Hm. The bone doctor told me to get new shoes (My tennis shoes I was wearing are a bit worn).

Training is out as a problem, I put that away after the surgery.

Improper bimechanics of the quads???? What does that mean?
