Has anyone ever heard of this? My sister-in-law has it...I was with her everyday about two weeks ago so her doctor said I might get it?

It is a disease easily recovered from. Do NOT allow pregnant women around your family member while she has this illness, though.

My friend from Europe caught this while she was here (back in high school), somehow. We don’t know who gave it to her. But I put makeup on her face with my bare hands so she could try to impress my cousin, and I didn’t get it.
It’s not serious, it’s just kind of gross. I would just take your standard wash-your-hands precautions.
