Well, I have quite a few "tattoos," which I have acquired in recent years due to sun exposure. First, I had a sore on my left forearm which would not heal. It turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma and was burned out. Hence the circle. Second, I had I forget what on my forehead. It was frozen. Hence but a wee spot. Third, I had a precursor of a melanoma on my right upper arm. It was surgically removed. Hence the line. Another suspicious thing was removed from my chest, but it turned out to have a dull pathology.
The main points about skin cancer is that basking in the sun should be avoided and that folks should look over their entire bodies even their scalps and between their toes. If anything at all looks different, then go to a dermatologist. Once you need some removal work, you will be a steady customer of the dermatologist, who will give you a once over periodically. Again, prolonged sun exposure is not good for you.
