How many love Goat Cheese as much as I do? I discovered this cheese a couple of years ago.
I love to put it on salads, hamburgers, chicken, there is just so much you can do with this cheese.
I also give a little here and there to my animals. Good for calcium.
I found that Sam's Club is the best place to buy this cheese. In the regular grocery stores, you might find these really small logs of Goat Cheese and they will cost about $8! Way too much.
At Sam's, you get this huge log and it costs less than $6. It's a really good deal.

I've enjoyed goat cheese since I was a child, Lynnie. Goat cheese, black olives, and a nice crusty bread (and maybe some pickled veggies) are I consider the right appetizer for as meal, or a perfect way to welcome guests into one's home.

Yummmmmm...sounds really good.
Sometimes, when we get in the mood for burgers, which is very rare. I fry onions and mushrooms in the pan with the burgers. Spiced of course. When the burgers are almost done, I top them off with Goat Cheese.
My gf puts it on bread, or buns with the onions and mushrooms. I just put the burger on a plate and top it off with the veggies. OMG, this is soo good.
Do you have any good Goat Cheese recipe's. Always yearning to learn more.

Goat cheese. Yes,I had a friend who wanted to buy goat's cheese in France. So I solemnly researched and discovered a goat's cheese specialist near the quay in Antibes. We had our boat moored in the harbour there.(Had I thought I'd have wondered. There are cheese shops everywhere in France and they all sell goat cheeses, so why would there be a specialist?)
She went off and ordered what she had translated as 'one box of cheese'.It turned out that the specialist was a wholesaler .Her 'one box' had about a hundred cheeses in it. Big Grin I don't think it put her off the cheese but we had enough to feed the whole port. Yachtsmen the length and breadth of the harbour were surprised to find a visiting Englishwoman, offering them each a free cheese, 'with the compliments of the yacht Dormaus'

Only confirmed what they'd long suspected: They are mad, these English.

There are several kinds of goat's cheese. There's a hard kind and a softish kind (you see my extensive knowledge of fromagerie ). Not usually to my taste.DG on here will, doubtless, know more [There are 2 'dgs': a reputedly old one, 'DG', and a glamorous young one, 'dg' ]

Ah, there you go. DG has already answered.

Well, I guess the kind I have been eating is Soft Goat Cheese. All I know is that I love it. Sometimes I just eat it right out of the package.
