I know it sounds kind of silly, however, my Beta Fish makes noises. It is similiar to a clicking, however he's not eating, excited or even moving-generally. It happens at any time of day or night... I was curious is this happened to anyone else, and/or if anyone knows the cause and potential cure for this.. thanks

PS its not the gravel hitting the glass- we have marbles as his flooring

I found this on Male Beta aka Betta fish
quote:
What about those funny bubbles on the top of the tank that the betta fish seem to be making continually? Well, that’s just his way of making a ‘nest’. You see, in the wild, male betta fish make these lovely bubble nests

The fish takes a gulp of air and releases it as a bubble that doesn't pop for a long time. It's making a bubble nest.
