We found our beautiful betta with his long fringes wrapped tightly around one of those fake plastic plants that come with a store bought "betta tank". Apparently he couldn't get up to get air and drowned. It was so sad. I hope to warn other people that have bettas that they might want to remove plastic plants or anything else he might get his fringes caught in. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

A betta's fins can really get in the way sometimes. They can get caught in things, and they can get blown to pieces by a filter. I've never had a betta get caught in a plastic plant, but I've had him get his fins fringed by one.
