Joan is a practicing astrologer, Philly, who was born with psychic abilities. She's quite clever with Tarot, which she dabbles in.
I, total skeptic, asked her to teach me a little astrology so I could understand more of the traditional knowledge of the ancient writers up to the 17 thC.
Eventually I asked to learn Tarot. She said Tarot was all psychic. The cards spoke to her. They meant different thingsin different card envirnments (spreads). She could teach it to know one.
There are many well meaninged ungifted pretenders out there. Leave Tarot for party fun. Avoid the Gypsies. If they know anything Seguny (Gypsies) don't share it with Gadjo (non- Gypsies) who they prefer to fleece. This from a gypsy's mouth.
If you find someone like Joan who psychically comes up with names and other specifics during a Tarot reqding, you're in luck, when the reader is on. There's no way for the Tarot reader to be on all the time. Same for astrologers.
I learned enough to take clients and thought I would co charts and teach during my retirement.
The charts begin to speak if you do enough of them. Most of the people seeking charts lead lives that are just too heavy. Very depressing to do charts. Rarely take clients. Occasionally for friends.
When Joan was 4 her little girlfriend said: I'll see you tomorrow. No said Joan, not until Sunday. How do you know Sunday and not tomorrow? Because your grandmother will do unexpectedly and I won't see you until the funeral.
They sent the parish priest to investigate for an exorcism.
Joan is quite amazing when she's on. A very quick mind that can crunch the astro data quicker than most. She's not always on. When she's on she sees a film above your head on the bare white wall evoked from the chart as a springboard. I accidentally met Eden Gray of Tarot fame in Vero Beach, Fla.
She doesn't really read Tarot. Just popularized it . Turns out she had a bookstore in NYC. The most popular request was for books on Tarot. She researched and wrote one that popularized Tarot in the US.
Miss Gray (grey?) was very old when I took for lunch. Probably no longer in this world.
Thanks Joan for your unending patience in teaching me a little of what is really a life's work. One cannot live long enough to see all the combinations of planetary positions.
Takes about 25000 years , if I remember the cycle.
Idon't see why astrology should work but it has worked frequently in my own life and the lives of special friends who I occasionally counselfor predicng trends and events. It is always a clever insight to personality if the reader is good, should you be frightened or wary of predictions. Mattersof love are near and dear to me. I seem to attract the lovelornas clients.

Stanbee, they say that we are all surrounded by an aura and that some people can see through this aura and are able to foresee things about us past/present/future. I did meet a lady once who I had read my palm only all she really did was hold my hand and look into my eyes. What she told me was amazing and true and I had just walked into her office right off of the street so she had no chance of doing any "background" work before I approached her. She talked about lots of things happening in my life at the time and really gave me a sense of comfort --- that it was all going to turn out okay no matter what direction I chose to take. The information that she gave was so specific; it really blew me away. I am sure that there are many fakes out there who claim to have this talent but I am sure that it is real and it is a special power that some are blessed (or cursed) with.

I think that the woman is using the cards as a tool to help her to focus as part of the way that she accomplishes what she accomplishes. As for what the woman can do, which you find genuine, unique, and impressive, my personal feeling is that it is God and angels who are enabling her with special knowledge. I also think, as you seem to by your actions, that anyone can develop the ability to do special things, but how much of an ability we develop, we do not know until we try.
