I just discovered this forum on here and thought I'd share an experience of mine. I had a premonition of my great grandmother's death. She was staying with my grandmother at the time of her death as her primary caretaker was out of town.
That very night, I had a dream that there were a bunch of people in my grandma's house, including my great grandma (Francis). It was a happy occasion, with some family members there having a sort of family get-together. Then all of a sudden, my great grandma said that she felt like she was going to be sick, and we rushed to get her a bucket of some sort which she vomited in.
Now for the story of how her death occured... When my grandma put her to bed that night, she said she felt a little ill (headache, felt hot, etc.) Grandma just assumed she had a cold or something and really thought nothing of it. A couple of hours later, Francis called for grandma to come into her room. Grandma did, and Francis said that she really didn't feel good and felt like she was going to throw up. Grandma grabbed a trash can, and Francis vomited into it. Grandma cleaned it up and everything and then went to the bathroom. While she was in the bathroom, she heard Francis making a gasping noise, rushed back into the room, and Francis was deceased. Grandma called 911 and tried CPR until the authorities arrived, but she was too far gone.
It really freaked me out that I had that dream on the night of her death. If I recall correctly, I woke up from the dream around 2:05 A.M. that morning and glanced at the clock. (I wake up randomly during the night and just always look at the clock.) I felt a little shaken by the dream of Francis being sick, but I often have strange dreams so I thought nothing of it. When I woke up in the morning, my mom told me that Francis had died early that morning of a heart attack. My stomach dropped. To this day, I still can't believe that I had such a premonition. It really creeps me out.

Yeah, I think your experience was definitely a true premonition. Some people just call these experiences 'gut-feelings'. However, the sensation always seem to happen prior to disasters, accidents, deaths, etc.
I've never had a premonition, but it would definitely creep me out too.

It may have been a premonition, or it may have been your grandmother reaching out to you in some subconscious way. I don't think you should feel creeped out.
