2008 - The Dems hold on to the White House, with either Kerry-Edwards or Edwards-Clinton, if Kerry chooses not to run for re-election (or is forced out by Moderates), unless McClain somehow gets the Republican nod in a very splintered GOP. Sen. Dean threatens to bolt Dem party to Indie Party or Green Party, but does not. Dan Quayle makes noises like he wants to run, but no one pays any attention. Once again, Congress is split, with the Dems holding one part, and the GOP the other. In the Senate, there will be 2 Independents, voting with the moderate Republicans on fiscal issues, but the Dems on social isues. Unless Florida somehow gets a couple of black Representatives, there will be 0-3 blacks in the House. Sen. Obama from IL is the only black Senator.

If New York's Mayor Bloomberg tries to buy the Presidency, he will not succeed. Ross Perot couldn't do it, and try to imagine saying, "President Bloomberg."
