I meant murders in normal times, not times of war or holocaust. On the list I have 62 countries ,Iraq and Sudan are not there. I will double check with another site to see if those figures make senses.

Bet they top the kidnapping tables, too Colombia has long been the one place that The South American Handbook highlights as a bit risky for travellers.(The book is sweetly low-key in all its reviews and guidance: it is intended for seasoned, wordly, travellers ) Going for a casual stroll in most parts of Medelin is particularly ill- advised !
