Which celebrity is listed by a major magazine as leading the pack in EAD (Earnings After Death) for the last year? (The new rankings are due in a few months.) How much did he or she earn in that year?

Let the ink dry, man. Cobain is correct, according to Forbes.com, with Presley second.

The entire list:

1. Kurt Cobain
2. Elvis Presley
3. Charles M. Schulz
4. John Lennon
5. Albert Einstein
6. Andy Warhol
7. Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel)
8. Ray Charles
9. Marilyn Monroe
10. Johnny Cash
11. J.R.R. Tolkien
12. George Harrison
13. Bob Marley

Good job, Mozart!

Albert Einstein? Confused Which label did he record for?
How does the physicist's estate still continue to receive income at all, never mind in quantity? Was the deceased getting a cut of all nuclear production? Smile

The famous picture of Einstein sticking out his tongue was taken by Albert Sasse in 1951. I forget who took the standard photo of him in old age, which we see everywhere, but it must have been 'a nice little earner' as they say in London.
What next? Are Che Guevara's photo rights enriching that obscure photographer who took a candid snap which is on the tee-shirts?

Fred wonders: "How does the physicist's estate still continue to receive income at all, never mind in quantity? Was the deceased getting a cut of all nuclear production?"

I guess the estate gets a royalty every time some dude puts E=mc² on his T-shirt (to show how bright he is). Or every time that goofy picture is printed -- fficial%26sa%3DN" TARGET=_blank>with the wild hair, at the blackboard.

That URL looks weird, but it's clickable and works! Confused

Or the other goofy one -- on the bicycle.

Action figure? Does it ride a bicycle? Or just run its fingers anxiously through its hair, muttering "unified field.... unified field..."

Doh! And I thought nerdy was the new chic.

My Einstein is still in his blister pack, holding a piece of chalk and looking scary. The packaging carries a short bio, some quotes, and a photo. I hope his estate got a bit of royalties from my purchase.

PS: Made in China.

For shame, dancer! Did you read the instructions???

1 - Start off by clasping the monkey balls between your thumb and two fingers. Squeezing gently will produce a mysterious whistle.

2. - Hold one monkey ball between your fingers and thumb, then attach the second ball to the bottom of the first. Gently swing the balls back and forth like a pendulum. For an even greater challenge, see how close you can bring the second monkey ball to perpendicular before they clash together.

All I can say is, don't try it on a chimp! Eek
