Singing, ever thought how it came about?and why did singers once perform in caves?

Well I don't know what a "potcard" is but I would assume that singing took place in caves for the natural amplification and accoustics.

AS for the history of singing - it probably developed with cavemen who used production of musical tones as a way of expressing themselves when they could not speak their thoughts. From there it progressed to a way to invoke his gods, a celebration of rites of passage, and a way to recount his heroics.
