What five former Broadway theater buildings were razed in 1982 to build the Marriott Hotel ?

The Astor, the Helen Hayes, the Bijou, the Victoria (formerly Gaiety), and Morosco
Theatres were all demolished to make room for the Marriott Marquis New York in 1982. But great efforts were made to save the Astor which stood vacant for about 10 years before the demolition.
