Clue "Gordon" was in the News Not Tony Blairs Colleague Mr Brown

The remains of hurricane Gordon hit the West of Ireland and then passed over the island , hence the wet weather and wind at the Ryder Cup held on the East, near Dublin.
Presumably Aileen is another hurricane, the remains of which are or were coming to be ridden out.

Surfing. The hurricane has made surfing in Ireland better than ever. Aileen is the perfect surfer's wave.
