What Broadway stage musical began its original Broadway run 30 years ago today (February 19th) at the St. James Theatre ?

I think you're looking for the answer "Evita", but I don't believe that it's right. I haven't time to research it yet, but I remember the show opening in London in June 1978 (I actually got a ticket and saw it starring Elaine Paige!)and then transferring to Broadway later. The title of the Broadway cast recording was recorded on the show's pre-Broadway run. But I may be wrong.

It is interesting though that the US recording bears the date '1978'...Does anyone know why?
