I need to know how to calculate the number of teeth on a spur gear. All I have to work with it is the size of the gear. They also seem to be asking for 2 measurements with pitch: diameter and circular pitch. Also i'll be dealing with double sided and single sided spurs. If that makes a difference. Razz

Number of Teeth = Pitch Diameter x Diametral Pitch
