WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Senate blocked on Wednesday a bid to amend the Constitution to essentially ban same-sex marriage.
Proponents failed to get the 60 votes needed to end debate and move to a vote on the actual amendment. The Senate vote was 49-48 to end debate. - CNN -------- What terrible news! Now all our marriages are unprotected! How long will it be before half our sacred marriages fail?
I think most of us know why this issue was brought up, why it has to be voted on and why this close to elections we are having it rammed down our throats one more time.
Gays, Illegals, Abortion - all are Tools Used by politicians to win votes.
If they actually every really address these issues and "fix" them once and for all what platform would politicians have to stand on (here in the USA)?
