If a woman has more chest hair than the average man, would that give her the tendency of acting like a man?
I've worked with a lady for a long time and she acts and walks just like a man. There were rumors that she is gay but I've known her to have boyfriends, but always brief relationships. Yesterday she was reaching down sorting garments and I could see her chest and I was shocked. Her chest is covered with hair.
I'm honestly asking this because I want the education, and not criticizing her in any way. I had no idea that women had chest hair like that and was wondering if this was why she acted so manly.
Is this common and I'm just finding out about it?

" She" could be a transexual or transvestite man, Honi ! That is common enough. As she retains a hairy chest "she" may simply be living a separate life as a transvestite, affecting to be a woman, like 'Mrs Doubtfire' in the film. It cannot be much trouble to shave the chest, after all.
She could have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Some of the symptoms include excessive body hair, acne, excessive weight gain (eventually leading to obesity)and development of male characteristics. If she has this, she may have stopped menstruating. I would guess she has an increased level of male hormones.
I agree with Clare. It sounds like she has an excess of Testosterone (male hormone) that would lead to the over-production of chest hair. If she were truely transgendered or transexual, she'd probably opt for chest waxing.
It also could be genetics and ancestory. Some women just are naturally hirsute.

Anyone can get rid of chest hair if they want. (shaving, waxing, bleaching, electrolysis)
She probably is just tired of doing it or is in between visits. I'm sure it isn't much fun to get rid of the hair all the time. When she wants to get rid of it- she will.

Actually Justin I was saying that if she was a true transgendered individual she'd be doing the hormone therapy which would reduce the hair and if she/he truely felt she/he belonged in a female body certainly would go to any measure to feminize herself by removing hair during the interum. And if she/he were a true transexual, they are usually very determined in their representation of female and I have known a transexual to not remove hair to appear more feminine.
I suspect she is an original female who just happens to have a surplus of testosterone and is naturally hairy. Believe it or not, some of us do exist
