On average, how much would one have to pay for an ambulence, if they had no medical insurance, but they had the money to pay for all the ambulence costs by cash?
It cost $250 for me and I only live 3 miles from the hospital, so if you live a long ways, it'll cost you a lot more. Here, you pay according to the mileage and I would assume this apply in most places. Luckily, I am covered by insurance.

Yafa, the prices I quoted are what you would pay if you didn't have insurance...and that probably is what Honi means as well. That if she did not have insurance the ride would have been 250.
If you have insurance, depending on the type of insurance you have, ambulance rides can be covered 100 percent or might cost you a 50 dollar co-payment.
