Extend Medicare Part D Deadline

If I'm understanding this correctly, if seniors don't sign up for a drug program by May 15th, they will financially penalized by this program for life.

You understand it correctly, and I urge everyone to e-mail their representative and Senators to extend the deadline.

Even with an extension, there are thousands of elderly that don't understand what's going on with this drug program. A lot of them still won't meet a later deadline. Some of them probably haven't heard about it in the first place. It really is a mess and should have been more simple. Just too many different programs to choose from and that confuses them more.

The petition is a very good effort.
