We are looking for an air purifier for our apartment to reduce the impact of a neighbor's smoking.

I researched some on the Internet, but I would very much appreciate anyone else's recommendations for good models. We are currently looking this model at CleanAir4Life's web site.

Thanks!

As a smoker, I have electrostatic air cleaners. They work pretty good. You clean the unit that collects dirt in the dishwasher. I wouldn't go with HEPA. You need a fairly large cleaner. They get less effective. The price for replacement filters are outrageous. The electrostatic cleaners are expensive. The price will quickly add up replacing HEPA filters though.

I remembered seeing on the TV a commercial about the "Ionic Breeze" where you rinse the filter off and reuse it over and over. I found it online. Remember, this site is a commercial site. Here is the link:

Forget air purifiers! What you need to do is pick up some really annoying habit to get even with your neighbor. Big Grin

I know an annoying habit! I had neighbors with hunting hounds. The dog house was right next to my house. The dog droppings were by my front porch. You couldn't escape their dogs enough to enjoy my yard because of their dogs. Try dog sitting!!!!

Thanks for your suggestions, everyone. As it turns out, our landlord got the other tenants to buy the air purifier because they were the smokers. Smile

I know this is probably a truly stupid question for me to even ask, but I'm going to anyway. I have lived in apartments. Our doors were always shut. How could a neighbors smoking be that much of an annoyance if any to you? You could at times smell cooking odors in my hallway, but once you got to my apartment, it smelled like my apartment, not my neighbors cooking.

Confused on that one!
