I need some help. I tried calling many of government listings today to get some information. I am currently working with the mentally handicapped. I am trying to put together a seminar on "Work Safety" problem being I cannot find any flyer posters brochures or anything. None of the government agencies could help me. None of these places are aware of there being any information to help me. If these people are employable should there not be information to help them too? The main problem being the information I need has to be more on the child like side so that they can understand. Does any one know where I could find some info??
Oh I have also tried employment agencies still no luck!
Thanks.

Nadca2...I wonder if your local School District might have access to simple posters.

I definitely recall having seen some cartoon-looking posters at one time, a series of them illustrating things like...."Don't run!", with the character falling down, and things like that.

Along those same lines, I wonder if an art teacher might see this as a nice project for students. Give some examples of things that you would like to see as they relate to the type of work being done, and challenge the kids to come up with a "Safety Poster", which would then be donated to you for your work.

Good Luck!

Thanks for replying so quickly. I also should have mentioned that these are adults that I work with. And the seminar is on things like use your knees to bend not your back etc. The clients vary in severity from very mild to severe. So this may be a 2 day seminar. One for the more independant and one for the more severe cases. Some would be very offended if they were too childish. Thanks again. If you have any more ideas please let me know.
