The short answer is yes, birth control pills may have an effect on libido (sex drive.) However, there are lots of things that go into it, and it can be hard to pinpoint one thing such as the pill, without looking into other issues as well. The hormone make-up of BCPs vary, so it's possible that a switch could make a difference. But it really should start with a discussion with your gynecologist.
